Yankees Horrendous Slump Continues in Four Game Set Against Toronto
The Toronto Blue Jays came into the Bronx to face off against the Yankees in a four game set. Frankie Montas got the start in game one. Unfortunately Montas really struggled in this one. The Yankees took a 1-0 lead in the first when Anthony Rizzo scored on a throwing error. The Blue Jays tied it up in the third off of a Whit Merrifield solo home run. The Yankees made it 2-1 on a DJ Lemahieu RBI single in the third. Nestor went six gritty innings in this one. He gave up a hit and walk and was pulled after only one out. Wandy Peralta came on and gave up a hit to load the bases. He ended up walking in the tying runner.
